Several APCI member stores are working with a Huntsville, Alabama television station to promote Weather Radio Week from October 27-31.

TV station WAFF of Huntsville, AL, has been promoting Fall Weather Radio Week to raise awareness of the importance of having a weather radio in the home during tornado season. The station has been promoting events at five pharmacies in the region, where customers can purchase weather radios, meet station weather personalities, and have their weather radios programmed for them. Each event lasts from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The APCI members participating in the event include:

• Jones Discount Pharmacy, Arab, AL
• Southside Pharmacy, Tanner, AL
• Sure Save Pharmacy, Harvest, AL

APCI's Front End Development staff coordinate with the stores to ensure that the pharmacies have the number of radios they need for the events, and also assist with the events themselves.
