United HealthCare® Medicare & Retirement Adherence Conversion Program.

 

30-90 Conversion with $50 Payment for Positive Outcome 

 

Your store has been identified as receiving cases under the new UnitedHealthcare M&R program which will launch on or near March 1, 2016. The goal of the program is to promote patient adherence by making patients aware that a medication they are currently taking with a 30-day supply is available to be filled with a 90-day supply. These adherence conversion services are quick and tend to have high acceptance rates among patients. The patient interaction is designed to be brief, lasting from 5 to 10 minutes.

 

The UnitedHealthcare M&R Adherence Conversion Program will pay $50.00 for the successful conversion of an identified medication from a 30-day supply to a 90-day supply. This program reflects the growing trend in healthcare where payment is based on outcome rather than service. Retail pharmacies are uniquely positioned to make this program a success. Success may create further opportunities for this program, so be sure to begin addressing opportunities as soon as they appear in your MirixaPro queue.

 

The new prescription for a 90-day supply must be dispensed within 60 days of providing the service to the patient and the payment will occur after the new 90 day prescription is filled, billed through UnitedHealthcare, and validated through prescription claims.

Those who have conducted other 30-90 day conversion programs with Mirixa have found an extremely high level of patient/physician acceptance and great potential for positive outcomes.
