Generic Crestor^® (rosuvastatin)

On Monday, May 2, Actavis launched the generic equivalent of Crestor® (rosuvastatin). The Actavis items will be added to the OneStop program in the A* position with visibility in McKesson Connect today, May 2. Estimated brand sales of Crestor® are $6.3B. Brand Item:

CRESTOR GENERIC SPECIAL NOTE:

ASAP:

1-2 bottles within 24-48 hours of the launch
60 days dating
60 days price protection

This price protection is from day 1-60. Generic Crestor launched exclusively with Actavis on 5/2 so the initial ASAP will be price protected for 60 days from 5/2. Given this exclusivity and likely slow conversion for the first 67 days, McKesson only did an ASAP shipment, no ASAP+.

We expect additional players to enter the market after the exclusivity period on 7/8. Since Crestor is a special case, McKesson is planning on doing an ASAP/ASAP+ on 7/8 when additional players enter. This is not typical, and is still dependent on which supplier they go with, but for now they are moving forward with assuming they will do this second auto shipment.

Generic Cordran^® (flurandrenolide)

Taro Pharmaceuticals launched the generic equivalent of Cordran^® (flurandrenolide). The Taro item will be added to the OneStop program in the A* position with visibility in McKesson Connect Friday, May 6, 2016.
