Efforts to show how pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) negatively affect prescription drug pricing are gaining traction, as shown in a number of recent articles around the country.

First, the Ohio Pharmacists Association worked with investigative reporter Kristyn Hartman of 10TV (WBNS) in Columbus, Ohio on a two-part series dealing with PBM practices. Nearly a dozen pharmacists and industry experts worked with OPA and the reporter to tell the story.

In another story, New Orleans reporter Lee Zurik continued his look into PBM practices with an investigation into PBM profits.

Real Clear Health has an interesting piece on PBMs by Steve Pociask, president of the American Consumer Institute, a nonprofit educational and research organization.

And last but not least, financial giant Barron's is taking a look at PBMs with a cover story on "Where are the savings?". This story is making a splash across the country.

These are just some of the latest examples of how word is finally getting out about how PBMs keep consumers, insurers, pharmacies, and regulators in the dark. Share these videos and articles with you state and federal representatives; let's keep shining more light on deceptive PBM practices.
