Tramadol – Pricing:
Many of our members have asked why McKesson doesn’t have this item on program:
McKesson’s Sourcing Team is working diligently to get this added back to program. Former A slot by Northstar is expected to be in
stock early March. No other suppliers are able to meet the program requirements and supply needs. Amneal is scheduled to discontinue their product. We have provided pricing from other sources to see if we can get a price reduction to help with reimbursement issues. Stay tuned; we will provide an update as soon as we have more info! **Platinum Program members can purchase the
NET99 items and qualify for 11% APCI Platinum Program Rebates**.
Why are other items sometimes cheaper than our APCI A items?
- Often times this is due to recent manufacturer price increases.
- Timing plays a part in this too. McKesson only increases upon notification from the supplier.
- It is ok to purchase the best price for the benefit of your store.
- Platinum Program participants receive 11% rebate on Net99 purchases too.
Remember to keep in mind that you can take advantage of this as long as you don’t exceed the 10% of purchases which will impact your generic compliance/rebate eligibility.
