ITEMS WITH PRICING CONCERNS:

Aggrenox – ASP+ER DIPY CP 25/200mg 60’s

Unfortunately, we are unable to get a OS option for Gx Aggrenox at this time.   Teva is the exclusive generic on this product. Roxane’s authorized generic went back to the Brand company during their merger with Westward – so Roxane’s product is only being sold as a brand product now.  With the increase in demand for the Teva product, Teva increased their price and are unable to supply our OS demand.  MCK is continuing to reassess the situation and working with Teva.  They will continue to monitor and if additional players enter the market they may be able to add it back to the program, but for now this product will remain as is.  

HALOP DEC AMP 100MG/ML 1ML 5’S

Unfortunately, we cannot reduce this item.  After rebates we are net with MCK cost so there is no room to further reduce due to loss reimbursement from some payers.  We will continue to monitor the market price.

ESOMEPRAZOLE MAG 20MG MYLAN 30’S

MCK reduced the price on 12/12/16.  Market prices are competitive net of rebates.  Will continue to monitor the next 30 days to determine if a further reduction is necessary.

EPINEPHRIRINE PEN

CVS announced it will be charging consumers $109.99 for 2 pack of the generic EPIPEN.  It appears as they are taking this opportunity to draw marketshare.  Other chains are not following their lead.

We have requested a course of action from MCK.  They are taking it very seriously and have high level management (CFO) considering the issue.  MCK will be deciding on any actions they will take.  We will share this information as soon as it becomes available.

The APCI Annual Convention provides members with an opportunity to earn continuing education hours centered on the management, financial health, and the industry-related concerns of your business in a relaxed and informal setting. Additionally, members will elect three representatives to the APCI Board of Directors during the Stockholders’ Meeting. And, of course, we will also feature food and Texas-style entertainment.

That is why APCI strives diligently to put together an affordable, relaxed and informative annual event that provides significant value for our members.
