Effective October 1, 2017, the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services will begin utilizing the pharmacy benefits manager, Magellan Medicaid Administration. Pharmacies must submit pharmacy claims for payment through the Magellan Medicaid Administration pharmacy system.
