Aetna and CVS Caremark® are dedicated to assisting providers and eligible persons in emergencies where medical records are either destroyed or not accessible. These types of emergencies include natural disasters, severe weather, etc. In the event of a presidential (or other governmental) emergency declaration, effective March 15, 2017, Aetna will allow providers to enter a Submission Clarification Code (SCC) to override the refill-too-soon or duplicate therapy edits without calling the Aetna Pharmacy Help Line.
