NEWS YOU CAN USE - RUMOR HAS IT

The following info comes from a reliable source but cannot be guaranteed.  Please use discretion when ordering based off of this info:

RED ALERT= price increase guaranteed.

HYDRALAZINE INJECTION- IN LINE TO TAKE A MAJOR INCREASE.  THE 25 CTS LOOK TO BE SET TO GO FROM THE $300 range to the $900 range

MESALAMINE RECTAL SUSPENSION [Rowasa]- The increase looks to be towards the $115 range.

  4g-60mL/7x60mL

BENZONATATE- One manufacturer has announced a 300% increase, taking these to the $20 range on the 100mg, and $30 range on the 200mg.

PROPRANOLOL- [Inderal] tabs <<Over 800% increase. (New range will be more than double these prices below!)

PRIMIDONE- [Mysoline] tabs <<50mg 80% increase, 250mg 130% increase (with significant shortages)

CARBIDOPA-LEVODOPA- [Sinemet] tabs <<50% increase

METHYLDOPA- [Aldomet] tabs <<90% increase

FAMOTIDINE- [Pepcid] tabs <<40% increase

NORTRIPTYLINE- [Pamelor] caps <<90% increase

CIPROFLOXACIN- [Cipro] tabs <<180% increase on 500mg, no word on 250mg

BETHANECHOL- [Urecholine] tabs <<19%-36% increase, depending on strength

ISONIAZID- tabs <<50% increase

ESTRADIOL- [Estrace] tabs <<90% increase

KETOPROFEN CAPS- 90% increase

DILTIAZEM TABS- 90% increase,

LIDOCAINE 4% SOLUTION- 2200% increase!

PENICILLIN SOLUTION- 90% increase (not expensive though.)

DANAZOL- 90% increase,

CARNITOR- 200mg/mL solution 40% increase,

DEPO-MEDROL- Minor increases across the board of around 12%,

YELLOW ALERT= substantial rumors of price increase, substantial recipe for market increase, dramatic shortages, allocations.

DESMOPRESSIN LIQUID- Rumor is that a major wholesaler doubled their price,

DULOXETINE- [Cymbalta] caps- There are some shortages, that seem to be growing.  Some manufacturers are experiencing raw material issues.  Others eventually wonÕt be able to keep up. I am being told by a substantial manufacturer, it will be AT LEAST a month until they can get us more.

OLANZAPINE- [Zyprexa] tabs- Rumors that the plain is taking an increase, No word of potential range. On backorder when these sell out! I am seeing some major supply issues with these!

GLIMEPIRIDE- [Amaryl] tabs- Rumors and evidence that manufacturers that didnÕt previously increase, are now catching up.  Some are in the $13-$20 range at best, as a new, settled price range.

ESCITALOPRAM- [Lexapro] tabs- Rumors starting back up that the increase is near. I am seeing a number of manufacturing issues on multiple manufacturers.

TACROLIMUS- [Prograf] caps- Keep your eye out on this one still.  This could be one of those that happens months after initial speculation.  To me it now seems that the manufacturer that was having issues, seems to have buttoned them up, at least temporarily.

VITAMIN D- [Drisdol, Ergocalciferol] caps- Rising has discontinued manufacturing this product, no clue on the market impact this will have yet, except that I can say that at one time Rising was a number of companyÕs primary manufacturers.  There are a decent number of manufacturers, so it is likely not a 10 fold increase probability (if at all,) but there may be shortages due to other manufacturers trying to keep up with supply.

RISPERIDONE- [Risperdal] tabs- Qualitest has discontinued manufacturing this product, no clue on the market impact this will have.  Qualitest is a substantial manufacturer, but there are many on this product, so it is likely not a 10 fold increase probability (if at all,) but there may be shortages due to other manufacturers trying to keep up with supply.  <<THESE ARE STARTING TO SELL OUT DUE TO QUALITEST DISCONTINUATION

PRAMIPEXOLE- [Mirapex] tabs-Aurobindo has discontinued manufacturing this product, no clue on the market impact this will have.  There are many manufacturers of this product, but I can say, one major wholesaler has seemed to have increase around $10 on these

PENICILLIN VK- [Veetids] tabs- Greenstone has discontinued, no clue on the market impact this will have.  There are plenty of manufacturers on this, but some have increased

PYRIDOSTIGMINE BROM- Price increased announced to happen within a month, new range not currently known.  It doesnÕt appear to be a MAJOR increase, but even with minor increases the potential is still close to double.

NITROGLYCERIN SPRAY- In line to take an increase, no word of range yet!

OXCARBAZEPINE- 250%-300% increase expected for over 6 months, on the verge of happening

PHENYTOIN ER 100mg- A major wholesaler has announced that one of their manufacturers will be raising their price to $533 on the 1000ct.

PENICILLIN VK- taking a major increase from one manufacturer. We shall see if the others follow suit.

BACTRIM Tablets- supposed to double.

DESMOPRESSIN tabs- RUMORS OF INCREASE, REPORTED INCREASES.  Reports are about 5 fold.

GABAPENTIN- 600mg and 800mg tabs, some manufacturers are trying to increase, others resisting, some supply issues, resistance likely wonÕt stand for long.
