Effective December 18th, 2017, MedImpact WILL REJECT any claim from an Alabama pharmacy for a PEEHIP member when there is a value entered in the required NCPDP electronic claim fields designated for taxes, because the tax amount submitted is the responsibility of the pharmacy (i.e., provider privilege tax). Should your pharmacy receive a claim rejection for this reason, the following will be the messaging from the adjudication system:
