Amerigroup Community Care will be updating their prescriber validation logic for claims for Nevada Medicaid members. Currently, the claim adjudication system checks all claims to ensure that the prescriber has a valid NPI. Effective Jan. 15, 2018, the system will perform further claim checks to ensure that the prescriber ID submitted is: valid, active, a type 1 entity and has the appropriate DEA authority for the drug submitted. If these criteria are not met, the claim will reject with one of the following NCPDP rejects:
