This is an important notice regarding Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois Medicaid.
Effective January 1, 2018, Plans must allow for synchronization of prescriptions and pro-rate the cost-sharing as instructed by the Illinois House Bill 2957. Participating Pharmacies can override refill too soon rejects and partially fill a prescription if all the following apply:
* Partial fill is necessary to synchronize prescriptions.
* Applies only to formulary drugs or drugs with a prior-authorization.
* The medication is a maintenance drug.
* The medication is not a Schedule II, III or IV medication.
