CVS Caremark : Plan Update - For Specific Medicare Part D Plans

Effective January 1, 2018

Author: Erica Lawrence/Wednesday, December 20, 2017/Categories: APCI Choice

As previously communicated by CVS Caremark®, select Medicare Part D plans listed below began covering the following list of brand drugs and rejected the generic alternatives:

  • Nasonex

  • Seroquel

  • Vagifem

Effective January 1, 2018, some plans may begin to cover the generic for some products and the brand products may be covered at a higher tier or removed from formulary entirely. Please review 2018 formularies for each of the plans and rely upon the claims adjudication system for coverage at the time of dispensing.
