Effective January 1, 2018, the first fill of newly initiated prescriptions for Vivitrol and second generation Long-acting Injectable Antipsychotics (LAIs) can be dispensed at any Buckeye Medicaid network pharmacy. Currently, prescriptions for Vivitrol and second generation LAIs are restricted to Buckeye’s specialty pharmacy benefit and must be dispensed by AcariaHealth. This change only impacts the first fill of a new prescription for these medications. Subsequent fills of these medications will still be restricted to dispensing through the specialty benefit via AcariaHealth. Please see below for a list of the impacted medications:
