CVS Caremark - MEDICARE PART D INFORMATION/REMINDERS

Author: Erica Lawrence/Wednesday, January 3, 2018/Categories: APCI Choice

To comply with CMS regulations, CVS Caremark requires all contracted network pharmacies to complete Annual Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA) Training and General Compliance Training. For details on these regulations and the consequences for non-compliance, see Appendix C of your Provider Manual or access the CVS Caremark website (www.Caremark.com/PharmInfo), Training Regulations – Instructions and FAQs.

For each contracted pharmacy participating in CVS Caremark Medicare Part D networks, an authorized individual must attest to the completion of FWA and General Compliance Training. An authorized individual is defined as someone having responsibility for all employees who have been identified as being involved directly or indirectly with the administration or delivery of the Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Benefit, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
