LifeScan is the exclusive manufacturer for diabetes supplies for members enrolled in 2018 Aetna and Coventry Medicare Advantage (MA) and Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) individual plans. While most employer group plans will also offer LifeScan as an exclusive diabetes supplier, some Aetna and Coventry Group plans will continue to offer access to diabetes supplies made by other manufacturers.

Diabetes testing supplies are excluded from Medicare Part D coverage. Aetna and Coventry stand-alone Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) members should work with their medical providers for diabetes supplies.
