The generic for ESTRACE® cream 0.1% recently became available in the marketplace; however, effective February 1, 2018, select Medicare Part D plans adjudicating claims through CVS Caremark® will continue to cover the brand name ESTRACE cream 0.1% at the Preferred Brand Tier 3.

The generic (estradiol cream 0.1%) will NOT be covered for these Medicare Part D plan members. Please continue to dispense ESTRACE cream 0.1% as prescribed rather than substituting the generic. If claims for the generic are submitted, the following reject will occur:
