As part of our ongoing efforts to provide members with sustainable, affordable health plans, we’ve determined that it’s necessary to make adjustments to the WellCare formulary. The changes, which were effective January 1, 2018, are designed to encourage you and your patients to consider lower-cost alternative medications that are equally effective. All WellCare members will be impacted by this change.

The following medications will be removed from the formulary because equally effective, safe and lower-cost alternatives are available. Please assist your member in obtaining a prescription for the preferred product to avoid delays and rejects.
