MCS will be allowing the brand medication Tamiflu® (oseltamivir) to be processed for Members when the generic medication is unavailable. This decision has been made to ensure Member access to Influenza treatment as a result of the increase of flu cases, and the shortage of the generic version of the medication in Puerto Rico. The dispensing rules associated to safety and use of medications will remain as per the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
