UnitedHealthcare is aware that some pharmacies offer $0 prescription drugs to help lower health care costs for their customers. While there are no insurance payments or copayments associated with this transaction, it is important that all prescription drug claims for UnitedHealthcare members are submitted so that we have complete and up to date medical information.

Prescription drug claim information is used for: 

* Quality programs including drug safety alerts, adherence to therapy and to close potential gaps in care 

* Quality initiatives (Star Ratings) and Medication Management Therapy programs (MTM) that are  dependent on a complete profile of prescription drugs using the patient’s Medicare Part D benefit history.
