To stay in regulatory compliance with CMS guidance outlined below, effective immediately claim processing coding has been updated to prevent COB charges for Medicare LICS copays to South Country Health Alliance Medicaid.

This is a reminder that pharmacies cannot apply the LICS copays from the South Country Health Alliance Part D plan to the South Country Health Alliance Medicaid plan. As stated in the Social Security Act 1935(d)(1), Medicaid cannot pay for Part D drugs nor any cost-sharing for such drugs.
