Cigna Commercial Clients
Cigna recently decided it will not transition its commercial customers to the RxClaim processing platform. Accordingly, the 15 Cigna commercial clients currently on RxClaim will transition to Argus as of June 1, 2015.
When processing Cigna commercial customer claims, you should continue to use the updated RxBIN (017010) and PCN information that appears on the customer’s ID card. As of June 1, be sure to use Argus Payer Sheets for processing Cigna commercial customers.
Important Note: Cigna pharmacy customers are still receiving new ID cards with new BIN/PCN information. The RxBIN 017010 is owned by Cigna, and is not connected to a particular claims processing platform. All information is being routed at the switch level. You should not have to do anything at the pharmacy level, other than continue to use the new BIN/PCN information (including all leading and trailing zeros) at point of service. These should already be programmed in your system.
New ID cards will continue to be issued until March 2016, at which time all Cigna pharmacy customers will have cards with the update RxBIN. Until all Cigna pharmacy customers have received new ID cards, both the new and existing RxBINs will be in use. Do not delete the existing RxBIN (600428).

If you receive a claim rejection, PLEASE DO NOT turn the customer away. Ask the customer if they have a new ID card or contact Cigna at 800-244-6224 to obtain and submit the correct BIN/PNC and customer information.
