The Alabama Department of Public Health recently received funding to provide independent pharmacies in Alabama with an interface to the ImmPRINT immunization registry. When your pharmacy is interfaced with ImmPRINT, patient vaccine information is automatically uploaded to the state.

As part of the ImmPRINT effort, the department is receiving 220,000 doses of flu vaccine that pharmacies can get for free by being an enrolled ImmPRINT provider. Ordering the vaccine is done through the ImmPRINT portal that will open October 1. Once COVID-19 vaccine is available, this will also be the process for obtaining this vaccine as well.

APCI's Jeff Church is working directly with the Alabama Department of Public Health to help jumpstart the process for APCI members. Additionally, the department has created a flyer with information on becoming an ImmPRINT participant. Click the button below to download a PDF with all the information you need.
