FORMULARY CHANGES:

We have received request from many of you asking how to determine when changes to the formulary items on our One Stop program will occur. There is a list available on the OneStop Generics homepage. Click here to go to the homepage and select the list to review under the Formulary Changes banner.

REASONS FOR CHANGES TO FORMULARY:

  • Formulation Change: A manufacturer may change product formulation, for example, in response to user preference.
  • Supply Discontinuation: A manufacturer may discontinue supplying a product.
  • Supply Issues: A manufacturer change may be initiated to insure more reliable supply and higher customer service levels
  • Price: If market prices begin to change McKesson Sourcing Team will seek other suppliers to provide better pricing to our members.

Merck Vaccines
Independent Pharmacy Network (IPN) Portfolio Program

  • APCI Member Retail Pharmacies will receive On-Invoice Discounts (OIDs) for six (6) Merck Vaccines administered in the retail pharmacy setting. (GARDASIL®9, M-M-R®II, PNEUMOVAX®23, RECOMBIVAX HB®, VAQTA®, VARIVAX®)
  • In addition to OIDs available on the Merck Vaccines, eligible APCI Member Retail Pharmacies have the opportunity to achieve up to a 3% Rebate on four (4) Merck Portfolio Vaccines (GARDASIL®9, M-M-R®II, PNEUMOVAX®23, and VARIVAX®).
  • The individual APCI Member Retail Pharmacy Net Dose Purchases will be aggregated to determine if an Aggregate Volume Threshold Rebate has been earned. If a Quarterly Rebate is earned, Merck will provide APCI with the Rebate payment through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and APCI will pay each Eligible APCI Member Retail Pharmacy quarterly thru monthly rebates. (Rebate payment will be titled “Merck Q‘X’ 2021 market share rebate”)
    • To reach an Aggregate Volume Threshold, Eligible APCI Member Retail Pharmacies may purchase any combination of the Merck Portfolio Vaccines and is not required to purchase any specific Merck Vaccine to achieve the Aggregate Volume Threshold.
    • Members are enrolled automatically thru McKesson when purchasing a Merck Vaccine for the first time.
    • An APCI Member Retail Pharmacy that has a mixed Retail Pharmacy/Long Term Care Class of Trade (COT) is eligible for the OIDs but are not eligible to receive Rebates for the Program.

Merck pricing table

Federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Excise Tax of $0.75 per dose per vaccine component is applied in addition to the stated price for all vaccines listed except PNEUMOVAX 23 and ZOSTAVAX (GARDASIL 9, PedvaxHIB, RECOMBIVAX HB, RotaTeq, VAQTA, and VARIVAX - $0.75 per dose; MMR II - $2.25 per dose; ProQuad - $3.00 per dose).
