The APCI Choice program will soon begin using Health Mart services for monthly OIG and SAM exclusion checks. The changeover will begin effective Nov. 1, 2022, and all current Medversant services will end as of Dec. 31, 2022.

We believe the transition to Health Mart from Medversant will provide Choice member pharmacies with a better solution for these vital monthly functions. There is no charge for this service for Health Mart-affiliated pharmacies. Non-Health Mart Choice Members will be able to perform these checks on their own through the OIG and SAM websites.

We strongly encourage all Choice members to utilize the time between now and the end of the year to become familiar with either the Health Mart OIG and SAM Exclusion Check services or the manual checks through the OIG and SAM websites.

Health Mart members: Please follow the steps listed below for monthly OIG and SAM exclusion checks:

1. Log in to the My Health Mart website (https://my.healthmart.com/Login.htm)
2. Hover over “Operation” on the left side of the page
3. Select either “OIG Exclusion Screening” or “SAM Exclusion Screening” for initial employee verifications.

• Additionally, there is a video on the “SAM Exclusion Screening” page that details the process for setting up your pharmacy roster/team for monthly verifications.
