Even though the current flu season is continuing, NOW is the time to start planning for the 2024-2025 flu season!

APCI members will again be able to purchase directly from flu vaccine manufacturer Seqirus, as well as from FFF Enterprises. Purchasing directly from Seqirus is the preferred and quickest method for obtaining vaccines for next year.

Of course, APCI members will still be able to order vaccine thru McKesson as normal; however, the APCI contract with Seqirus offers much better pricing on those specific branded vaccines. To make the best purchasing decisions for your pharmacy, APCI recommends that members order what they know they will sell/administer thru Seqirus or FFF Enterprises and then supplement with McKesson if needed.

Please note: As the B/Yamagata flu strain is no longer circulating, it has been removed from vaccines. Transitioning from a quadrivalent to a trivalent (“TIV”) formulation of influenza vaccines will NOT impact vaccine effectiveness.
