Harris named Distinguished Alumnus
APCI Manager of Professional Affairs Bruce Harris was recently named a Distinguished Alumnus from Lindsey Wilson College during the college’s Homecoming weekend.
According to the school, Bruce earned the award because he “exemplifies what the Lindsey Wilson mission can do.”
While on campus, he was a Bonner Scholar, Resident Assistant, an escort for the LWC Mountain Laurel candidate, homecoming king and intern at the Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce.
Bruce continued to achieve after graduating from Lindsey Wilson. He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy. He was the Medicare Clinical Pharmacy Manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama from 2018-2020 before joining APCI.
Bruce is also involved in many personal endeavors. He serves as a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Birmingham, and he's actively engaged in the Samford University National Alumni Association where he serves as the Vice President of Development.
Bruce is still active with Lindsey Wilson, serving on the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee. In 2024, Bruce started the Bruce Harris Endowed Scholarship to help deserving students with financial need. Bruce credits Lindsey Wilson's mission for changing his life and changing the lives of every student, every day.
