Bessemer, AL — May 21, 2025 — American Pharmacy Cooperative,
Inc. (APCI), a leading national cooperative of independent community
pharmacies, proudly announces its sponsorship of The PBM Reform Podcast,
which will launch this June with new host Greg Reybold, APCI’s Vice President
of Healthcare Policy and General Counsel.
Greg Reybold
The podcast, part of the Pharmacy Podcast Network’s (PPN) dynamic 2025 lineup, brings renewed focus to one of the most urgent issues in pharmacy today: Reforming the practices of pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). With episodes hosted by one of the nation’s foremost policy experts, The PBM
Reform Podcast will explore legislative progress, legal challenges, and actionable insights for independent pharmacies, patients, and policymakers alike.
“PBM reform is at the center of the national conversation on
drug pricing and healthcare access,” said Greg Reybold, who has spent years
drafting landmark legislation and working closely with pharmacy stakeholders
nationwide. “As a longtime listener and fan of The PBM Reform Podcast, I
am honored to take the reins and I look forward to this podcast continuing to
drive important conversations, lift the voices of champions, tackle tough
issues, and shape policy at the state and federal level.”
As a long-time advocate for independent pharmacies, APCI
views this sponsorship as a natural extension of its mission to protect and
support community-based pharmacy care.
“Our members are on the front lines of patient care every
day, and they see firsthand the harm caused by unchecked PBM practices,” said
Tim Hamrick, CEO of APCI. “Supporting The PBM Reform Podcast is part of
our broader effort to lead on policy, empower our members, and amplify the
truth about how PBMs impact pharmacy and patient care.”
PPN founder Todd Eury welcomed APCI’s involvement, calling
the sponsorship a significant boost for the network’s policy-focused
programming.
“APCI has been instrumental in the national PBM reform
movement,” said Eury. “With Greg Reybold at the mic and APCI’s backing, this
podcast will not only raise awareness but also drive action. We're excited
about what the future holds for The PBM Reform Podcast.”
The PBM Reform Podcast will be available on all major
podcast platforms starting in June.
