FDA Import Ban – Injectables
August 25, 2015
The FDA has banned imports from Emcure Pharmaceuticals’ (the parent company of Heritage Pharmaceuticals) Hinjawadi plant located in Maharashtra, India.
An inspection revealed that Emcure Pharmaceuticals was not meeting manufacturing quality standards. While not all injectables are affected by the FDA ban, the two items listed below will be impacted on the OneStop formulary.
The OneStop Program Team is working diligently to ensure there is minimal disruption to your business by adding alternative items to the OneStop portfolio as detailed below.

McKesson APCI OneStop Generic Baraclude – Exclusivity Expiration
August 20, 2015
Effective Friday, August 21, 2015, the 180-day exclusivity period for generic Baraclude (entecavir) is expiring.
Pending FDA approval, we expect more players to enter the market that may result in a material price reduction in the near term. We are proactively discussing options with our suppliers, and will communicate further updates as we have them.
