Critical to Know
McKesson Announces Exciting New OneStop Program and Formulary Changes
Enabled
by increased generic customer purchase volumes in One Stop, McKesson recently
secured significant new value for our OneStop customers. McKesson has
already decreased prices, over the past 11weeks, on 941 fast moving generic
items with 358 items in the top 250 GCN families: decreasing the
portfolio pricing by approximately 2.2% overall.
In addition, there
will be a number of products changing designation (e.g., primary A, backup B)
to secure additional price concessions, inventory consistency, and best
leverage the increased OneStop purchasing volume to benefit OneStop
customers. We anticipate around 385 switches, with approximately 39 of those
in the top 250 GCNs. The majority of the switching will begin the week
of June 7, with some switches extending through September.
The OneStop team
also successfully expanded the OneStop portfolio by approximately 244 items,
increasing coverage and the number of OneStop rebateable items. Most of the new items will be added in July. Over the coming weeks McKesson OneStop
Generics customers will continue to see additional price and product changes
enhancing the Program and creating value for our OneStop customers. Regular

Launch of Pennsaid Topical Solution
On
Wednesday, May 28, Apotex Pharmaceuticals launched
the generic equivalent of Pennsaid¨ topical
solution (diclofenac). The Apotex item was added to
the APCI Generics program in the primary position with anticipated inventory
and visibility in McKesson Connect on Thursday, May 29. Estimated brand
sales of Pennsaid are approximately $30M. To order, please use the following item number:

BOCA GREEN MD – PRODUCT
CHANGES
The ONLY change made was from Quatrefolicª to Folmaxª, our new
proprietary Folate that is 1.4 mg of immediate and modified release. ALL other
ingredients, tablet shape, size and color remained the same. Yet, an NDC change
was made thus the request to have your pharmacy operations department make note
of this within your systems.
ALL current inventory should be dispensed. All wholesalers have been notified of these changes and
new NDC (50265-0398-30) product could be arriving at your stores within the
next two weeks.
