The 2015 Organizational Session of the Alabama Legislature came and went in just two days this week. The Organizational Session began at noon on Tuesday, January 13th and adjourned on Wednesday, January 14th.

The Alabama Medicaid Agency is making changes to payment for atovaquone oral suspension, and has updated its preferred drug list.

Entities and practitioners (except veterinarians) that dispense controlled substances, Class II-V, are now required to report data to the controlled substance database on a daily basis.

Please be aware of a burglary threat in the east-central area of Alabama. Within the past week, pharmacies in Pell City and Ashville have been burglarized.
