APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

MedImpact: Notice of New Point of Sale Edit Functionality

Please be advised that, effective 1/1/2017, MedImpact will be implementing new POS edit functionality to support mandatory 2017 CMS requirements for Medicare Part D claims processing.

MedImpact is providing this advanced notice to our Network Pharmacy Partners to:

1.      Inform pharmacies about the scope and intent
2.      Educate pharmacies regarding claims processing, reject messaging and override capabilities
3.      Allow pharmacies the opportunity to update pharmacy software configurations, as needed

National Pharmaceutical Services (NPS): Texas Labor Code Section 408.0281(d)

This notification is provided to you pursuant to Texas Labor Code Section 408.0281(d) “Notification to Health Care Provider” and contains the information we may elect to provide to any person, other than an injured employee, to whom access has been provided to the contractual fee arrangement that National Pharmaceutical Service (NPS) has with you. This applies to contractual fee arrangements for services through the NPS network at rates inconsistent with the Texas workers’ compensation pharmacy fee guidelines.
