Since 1984, APCI has been the ‘united voice of independent pharmacy’

APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

CVS Caremark®: Jo-Ann Stores: New RXGRP

Effective January 1st 2017

JoAnn Stores is an existing plan with CVS Caremark®. Effective January 1, 2017, Jo-Ann Stores members will be moving to a new carrier. They will not receive new cards with an updated RXGRP and Member ID until February 1, 2017. Please update or create plan member profiles to reflect the changes regarding the following new plan adjudicating through CVS Caremark.

CVS Caremark® Part D Services: IU Health Plans

Effective January 1st 2017

Effective January 1, 2017, CVS Caremark will begin to administer the prescription benefits for IU Health Plans. Please update or create plan member profiles to reflect the changes regarding the following new plan adjudicating through CVS Caremark.

CVS Caremark®: CareSource Kentucky

Effective January 1st 2017

Effective Jan. 1, 2017, CareSource plans for sale on the Health Insurance Marketplace will no longer be branded as CareSource Just4Me™. As part of this change, all Kentucky members in Market Place plans ALSO received a new member ID. Please be sure to ask all members for their new 2017 ID card, and remind them to discard their old cards. All of these changes were made to help our members understand and access their health insurance services. Our goal is to make it easier for shoppers in the Health Insurance Marketplace to understand what our plans are and what they cover.

Magellan Health: Complete Care of Florida and Community Care Plan

Effective March 1st 2017

Effective March 1, 2017, Magellan Complete Care of Florida (MCC FL) and Community Care Plan (CCP) will deny claims from pharmacies that do not have an active Florida Medicaid ID number assigned by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).

Argus: Bulletin Communication #03MG17 - Health Partners Medicare Part D Plan 2017

Health Partners Medicare has four benefit designs for member to choose from. The plan designs are as follows: Basic, Prime, Value and Special. Health Partners has a closed five-tier formulary for its Health Partners Medicare Prime and Health Partners Medicare Value recipients; and a closed one-tier formulary for its Health Partners Medicare Special recipients. The pharmacy benefit plan design and benefit package is new for 2017 and is described below.
