Since 1984, APCI has been the ‘united voice of independent pharmacy’

APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

CVS Caremark®: New RxGroup Number United Airlines

Effective January 1st 2017

Effective January 1, 2017, United Airlines will have a separate ID card for the pharmacy benefit. It will no longer be combined with the medical ID card. There will also be a change to the Rx Group number. Members will be moving from RxGroups RX1168, RX1178, RX1176, RX1177 or RX1178 to RX0403. Please update or create member profiles to reflect the following changes to the pharmacy benefit managed by CVS Caremark®.

CVS Caremark: Aetna - 2017 Aetna LeapSM plans ─ Texas

Effective January 1st 2017

On January 1, 2017, we’ll launch new individual plans, called Aetna Leap plans, in Texas. We won’t offer other pre-65 (non-Medicare) Aetna or Coventry individual products in this market. Some members will be moving from Aetna individual plans to Aetna Leap plans for 2017.

Pharmacy network is smaller for new plans

The new network doesn’t include all pharmacies. It’s a smaller network of pharmacies.

As a participating pharmacy in this network, you can provide pharmacy services for members in these plans. Please help our members with transferring prescriptions from a nonparticipating pharmacy, if they ask. And, just use your standard processes and guidelines.
