APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. CVS/caremark: New Implementation for Ohio Medicaid Buckeye Community Health Plan Inc dba Buckeye Health Plan

As previously communicated by US Script and CVS Caremark®, Buckeye Health Plan began using the CVS Caremark pharmacy network on April 13, 2016, while claims processing and payment remained with US Script. This notice is to inform you that effective September 1, 2016, CVS Caremark will begin to process claims for Buckeye Health Plan. All claims for Buckeye Health Plan will now be reimbursed according to your CVS Caremark Network Enrollment Forms and be paid according to CVS Caremark processing rules and payment cycles, which will appear on your CVS Caremark 835 or remittance advice. CVS/Caremark: PLAN UPDATE For Specific Medicare Part D Plans Crestor®

Effective: August 26, 2016

As previously communicated by CVS Caremark, effective May 20, 2016, the generic for Crestor became available in the marketplace; however, select Medicare Part D Plans (listed below) continued to cover the brand name Crestor at the Preferred Brand Tier and the generic, rosuvastatin calcium was NOT covered. Effective August 26, 2016, both brand Crestor and generic, rosuvastatin calcium will be payable on the formularies for the plans listed below.

Effective for dates of service on or after June 6, 2016, Ohio Medicaid covers insect repellent in response to the urgent public health issue associated with the Zika virus. Insect repellent is covered for any Medicaid consumer when appropriate to aid in preventing infection with the Zika virus. A prescription for insect repellent from an eligible Medicaid Prescriber is required for coverage.
