Catamaran, an OptumRx Company, updates pharmacy profiles weekly by receiving pharmacy specific information from the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP). Profile content includes NPI, NCPDP, licensure information (e.g. DEA, state license), Medicaid ID, provider affiliation, ownership information, provider dispensing type, phone number, email addresses and pharmacy contact information. It is imperative that you routinely update your pharmacy information to ensure your pharmacy’s contact information is current, and that your pharmacymeets Catamaran’s credentialing requirements.

When the Alabama Legislature reconvenes on Tuesday, April 5, there will be 11 Legislative Days remaining in this year’s Regular Session. While the members are at home during the Spring Break it is a good time to CONTACT them face-to-face or at least call them regarding several pharmacy bills.
