What’s changing  Many of our members want to reduce their environmental “footprint” in favor of a digital experience. So we’ve taken steps to meet their need. Digital ID cards are accurate, have all of the information you’ll need and they’re better for the environment.  You may see more digital ID cards in the future. But this change doesn’t impact Coventry members, Aetna Medicare or Aetna Medicaid members.  In 2016, Aetna will continue to mail plastic ID cards to new commercial plan members.  Effective February 1, 2016, Aetna will print and mail plastic ID cards for members with technology limitations who can’t access our self‐service website.
