APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. US Script: Sunshine Health

Help Improve Member Adherence

Effective December 1, 2015 - Sunshine Health is relaxing quantity edits on select maintenance medications for our Medicaid

members to help improve member adherence and outcomes. Pharmacies may fill up to a three month supply (up to 100

day supplies) of generic medications on the Medicaid PDL in the following classes.

Generic Oral Diabetes Medications

Generic ACE-Inhibitors

Generic ARBs

CVS/caremark: Procedures for System Downtime

Effective: November 30, 2015

ACTION REQUIRED: On November 30, 2015, the following or similar reject may

have occurred on some CVS/caremark claims: <<HOST UNAVAILABLE>>.

This unanticipated issue has been resolved. If you have not already done so,

please assist plan members and resubmit applicable rejected claims. Please contact

the plan member as appropriate once a paid claim has been captured. If the plan

member has paid cash and received the medication, please resubmit the claim and

refund the member as appropriate.

As a reminder, per the Caremark Provider Manual, from time to time, unscheduled

system maintenance or other circumstances may occur when the adjudication

platform(s) may not be available to adjudicate claims for a limited time. At any time, a

Provider may contact the Pharmacy Help Desk for assistance or information regarding

any claim processing related question. Pharmacy Help Desk Representatives are

available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
