Effective 3/1/2018, we’re enhancing the drug-drug interaction cDUR edit alert to help improve patient safety while still helping ensure members receive the appropriate medications.

Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield is an existing plan sponsor with CVS Caremark®.

As required by CVS Caremark®, for drug products that potentially qualify under Part B or Part D, a pharmacy Provider must promptly obtain any necessary information from the Part D Enrollee or Prescriber to properly submit the drug for processing (e.g., to the Part B plan or the Part D plan).

As part of our continuous effort to promote appropriate opioid usage per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Guideline, Express Scripts will begin generating two new CDUR edits at the point of sale for opioids for all clients effective Feb. 1.
