UnitedHealthcare Medicare plans will have upcoming changes to their prescription drug lists impacting the tier placement or removal of some brand drugs.

OptumRx is taking action to address current shortages in the supply of the generic Oseltamivir by allowing the brand version, Tamiflu, to process as a single-source brand effective immediately.

The generic for ESTRACE® cream 0.1% recently became available in the marketplace; however, effective February 1, 2018, select Medicare Part D plans adjudicating claims through CVS Caremark® will continue to cover the brand name ESTRACE cream 0.1% at the Preferred Brand Tier 3.
