Since 1984, APCI has been the ‘united voice of independent pharmacy’

APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

CVS Caremark: Envolve Pharmacy Solutions - Ambetter from Arkansas Health & Wellness

Effective January 1st 2017

As previously communicated by Envolve Pharmacy Solutions and CVS Caremark®, Ambetter from Arkansas Health & Wellness began using the CVS Caremark pharmacy network on April 18, 2016, while claims processing and payment remained with Envolve Pharmacy Solutions. This notice is to inform you that effective January 1, 2017, CVS Caremark will begin to process claims for Ambetter from Arkansas Health & Wellness. All claims for Ambetter from Arkansas Health & Wellness will now be reimbursed according to your CVS Caremark Network Enrollment Forms and be paid according to CVS Caremark processing rules and payment cycles, which will appear on your CVS Caremark 835 or remittance advice.

CVS Caremark: Pharmacy Advisor Program Commercial and Medicare Part D Enrollment Forms

Effective January 1st 2017

Effective January 1, 2017, CVS Caremark is pleased to introduce the Pharmacy Advisor Commercial Program ("Program") which is administered with the support of Mirixa. Through participation in this Program, Providers will provide adherence counseling services to CVS Caremark commercial and managed Medicaid (not Part D) Plan Sponsor Eligible Persons.

Effective January 1, 2017, CVS Caremark is pleased to introduce the Pharmacy Advisor Medicare Part D Program ("Program") which is administered with the support of Mirixa. Through participation in this Program, Providers will provide adherence counseling services to CVS Caremark Medicare Part D plan sponsor enrollees ("Part D Enrollees").

OptumRx: FedEx Corporation New Population - GENCO

Effective January 1st 2017

FedEx Corporation recently acquired General Commodities Warehouse and Distribution Company (referred to as GENCO). Approximately 12,000 new members will join the existing FedEx Corporation Prescription Drug Plan effective January 1, 2017. OptumRx ID cards are being issued to these members. There are no changes to the pharmacy processing information and all members will be recognized as members of the FedEx plan.
