New Pharmacy Benefits Manager Contractor

On October 1, 2016, Medical Associates Health Plans and Health Choices will be transitioning responsibility for pharmacy claims processing to the pharmacy benefits manager, Magellan Rx Management. Pharmacies must submit all pharmacy claims for payment through the Magellan Rx Management pharmacy system.

Dear Valued Provider,

Due to system maintenance at Prime Therapeutics, our claims processing system will be unavailable for claims adjudication during the time frame listed below.

Saturday September 24, 2016 11:00 p.m. to Sunday September 25, 2016 5:00 a.m. (Central Time)

During this downtime, claims will not be processed.  Please communicate this information to your pharmacies.

Effective October 1, 2016, Harvard Pilgrim’s preferred insulin products will be Lilly brand products, including all forms of Humulin and Humalog.  Harvard Pilgrim will require prior authorization for Novo Nordisk brand products.

Prior authorizations will be processed by MedImpact.
