APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

PerformRx: AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana Flu Vaccine Reimbursement

Effective: Immediately

Effective Immediately: AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana will reimburse network pharmacies for the administration of injectable flu vaccine to all members. Reimbursement is based on dispensing or administering one dose of vaccine in a rolling 8 month period. AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana members receiving the vaccine will have a $0.00 copay. Contracted pharmacies that indicate administration of the vaccine will be reimbursed an administration fee of $7.50 in addition to the standard dispensing fee. To receive reimbursement for the administration fee, the flu vaccine claims have to be processed with the following fields submitted: • Submit the administration amount in the Incentive Amount Submitted Field (NCPDP field number 438-E3) • Submit "MA" for Medication Administered in the Professional Service Field in the DUR/PPS segment (NCPDP field number 440-E5)

The outage is due to an OptumRx scheduled system enhancement. Please reprocess claims after 11:45 pm CST on August 26, 2016. Due to this maintenance we would like to remind you that there may be a delay in the posting of your 835 files by 1-2 business days for the affected pay cycle. OptumRx: Possible Claims Rejected Incorrectly for Rosuvastatin Calcium Under Rejection Code 70 - Product/Service Not Covered

OptumRx, UnitedHealthcare’s pharmacy benefits manager, recently identified claims that were rejected for prescriptions for Rosuvastatin Calcium from Aug. 1 to Aug. 9 as a non-covered prescription and not paid for some UnitedHealthcare Medicare Part D members. The claims were incorrectly processed with a rejection code of 70 for product/service not covered. OptumRx has taken the necessary steps to correct this claims processing error. If your pharmacy has identified claim(s) that you believe could have been rejected in error within the last 90 days, please submit an electronic claim for reprocessing. If you are unable to submit online, please complete and submit a Universal Claim Form and send it to: OptumRx P.O. Box 29044 Hot Springs, AR. 71903 If a UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plan member who was affected by this error returns to your pharmacy to have their prescription filled, please fill it.
