Effective Immediately: Blue Cross Complete of Michigan will reimburse network pharmacies for the administration of injectable flu vaccine to all members. Reimbursement is based on dispensing and administering one dose of vaccine in a rolling 8 month period. Blue Cross Complete of Michigan members receiving the vaccine will have a $0.00 copay. Contracted pharmacies that indicate administration of the vaccine will be reimbursed an administration fee of $7.50 in addition to the standard dispensing fee. To receive reimbursement for the administration fee, the flu vaccine claims have to be processed with the following fields submitted: • Submit the administration amount in the Incentive Amount Submitted Field (NCPDP field number 438-E3) • Submit "MA" for Medication Administered in the Professional Service Field in the DUR/PPS segment (NCPDP field number 440-E5)

2016-2017 Seasonal Flu Vaccine Pharmacy Benefit Effective immediately, the Alliance will reimburse pharmacies for administration of seasonal flu vaccine to all members age 19 and older. Alliance Medi-Cal and Group Care members have a $0 copay for the flu vaccine. Flu vaccines for children under the age of 19 are provided through their local provider. Pharmacies may not administer flu vaccines to children covered by the Alliance. Contracted retail pharmacies that process and administer flu vaccines will be reimbursed a flat fee of $25.00 per standard dose vaccine and $40.00 per high dose vaccine.
