Since 1984, APCI has been the ‘united voice of independent pharmacy’

APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

Argus: USScript Medi-Span Price Source Update

Date: January 29, 2016 What You Need to Know For the following BIN/PCN combinations, Argus has moved these customers to our new Medi-Span AWP based networks. In doing so, we have noticed that a small number of NDCs (mostly OTC products) that used to process under our FDB pricing, are NOT pricing with Medi-Span because they are not listed on their file. In these cases, you will see a NCPDP reject 54 “Non-matched Product/Service ID number”. If this is your house brand OTC product, we suggest you have your product division reach out to Medi-Span to have their product added or corrected. Medi-Span has suggested that you try the UPC code on the product as it may have been listed as the primary ID instead of the actual NDC code. If that too is unsuccessful, we recommend you dispense a comparable product with a different NDC code.
