On Tuesday, February 2, the 2016 Regular Session of the Alabama Legislature convened in Montgomery. As I mentioned in last week’s update, it is ironic that the Regular Session began on Groundhog Day because not much has changed from last year as it took three attempts to pass a General Fund Budget. Additional revenue is needed to help fund state government, but there is no willingness to do what is needed to generate more money.

With Alabama’s 2016 regular session set to begin on Tuesday, February 2nd, I thought I might give a little preview of what we might expect or not expect.
