Since 1984, APCI has been the ‘united voice of independent pharmacy’

APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

MeridianRx: Processing for Additional Commercial and Medicaid Plans

Effective: January 1, 2016

On November 19th, 2015, MeridianRx sent out a notice regarding an updated Payer Sheet for January 1, 2016. Due to recent changes, there has been a correction to the MeridianRx Payer Sheet for 2016. Below is the Corrected Plan/Group which will be effective under MeridianRx effective 1/1/16. Please disregard the previous Payer Sheet notice. For your convenience, the full MeridianRx Payer Sheet can be found at www.meridianrx.com under "Documents & Forms."

Effective January 1, 2016, MeridianRx will assume the responsibilities of pharmacy benefit management and claims processing for additional Commercial and Medicaid lines of business.

CVS/caremark: Pro-Rated Daily Cost Share

Effective: January 1, 2016

Background

Effective January 1, 2016, proration of a member’s daily cost share (copayment) in order

to support the synchronization of prescription fills is being implemented by select fullyinsured

commercial and some State Medicaid and Marketplace Plan Sponsors. When

implemented by a Plan Sponsor, this functionality will apply a daily cost-sharing

rate to a prescription presented to a network pharmacy that is dispensed for

less than the plan-defined one-month supply.
