Since 1984, APCI has been the ‘united voice of independent pharmacy’

APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

CVS/caremark: Pharmacy Provider Medicaid ID Required for Community Care Alliance of Illinois Family Health Network

Effective: December 1, 2015

As required by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services,

effective December 1, 2015, Family Health Network (FHN) and Community

Care Alliance of Illinois (CCAI) are implementing edits to restrict its network

to only Providers that have an active Medicaid ID on the regularly-issued

state file.

If your pharmacy has an active status with the State and this has not

changed, no further action is needed. However, if you do not have an active

Illinois Medicaid ID you will not be eligible to fill prescriptions for CCAI or

FHN enrollees effective December 1, 2015.
