Claims Processing Update for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Covered Persons
Effective March 1, 2015, Covered Persons of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama will experience higher co-pay or coinsurance costs with prescription claims for generic Concerta (Methylphenidate ER). This medication will cause the Covered Person’s co-pay or coinsurance to be greater than normal because it is considered to be a branded product and will process at a brand rate.
