Since 1984, APCI has been the ‘united voice of independent pharmacy’

APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

MagellanRX - Teamsters Local 731 Health Welfare and Pension Fund

Effective February 1, 2018, Teamsters Local 731 Health Welfare and Pension Fund will be transitioning to Magellan Rx Management as their new  Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM).

MagellanRx - MEDICARE PART D (PDP) PHARMACY PROVIDERS - RxBIN CORRECTION

A small percentage of Magellan Rx Medicare Part D members’ prescription ID cards are in circulation with the incorrect Rx BIN of 18117 or 0018117 causing rejections at the point-of-service.

OptumRx - Important Information Reagarding Opioid's

Effective January 1, 2018, OptumRx will be enabling an enhanced prescriber DEA license scope of practice check at point of sale for all Schedule II-V controlled medication claims to prevent payment of scheduled medication claims from unauthorized prescribers.

Express Scripts - Estrace Cream Added to DAW 9 Program

Effective January 12, 2018
